What is house call grooming?

House call grooming is a form of mobile grooming. i bring a fully equipped, professional set up into your home and service your dog where they are most comfortable.

What do I need to supply?

A work space (typically a bathroom, kitchen, or garage works best), a water source, and an outlet. I bring all the professional tools, equipment, and products. 

 

Can I stay in the room while my dog is being groomed?

Pet owners are welcome to observe the grooming process unless their presence causes added stress and anxiety for the pet. It is important for the environment to remain low-energy and relaxed to best maintain the safety and comfort of your dog. Signs of stress and anxiety are up to my discretion.

How long can I expect the appointment to take?

Anywhere from 1.5-4 hours depending on your pet's size, coat type and condition, behavior, and desired haircut. You can expect your first appointment to take a little longer due to the intake process and your pet and I taking the time to get to know each other.

 

What about the mess?

I do a thorough cleanup of the workspace upon completion of the grooming service. With high shedding breeds there tends to be a layer of hair that will settle once I have left.

Do you do anal gland expression?

I do not offer anal gland expression. There is potential for irritation and complication from expressing anal glands externally, it is recommended to have a vet do an internal expression method to mitigate the risk to your dog.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Dogs benefit most from being groomed every 4-8 weeks depending on coat type, coat length, and lifestyle.

Cancellation Policy

I require a 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.
